Building local skills for Tonstad DataPark

Local skills will be essential to bring Tonstad DataPark to life and ensure the opportunities it creates are felt across the region. That’s why we’re pleased to be building new partnerships with two of the region’s leading education providers.

Our colleagues Nenad Keseric, Managing Director, Norway, and Pete Aynge CEng, Senior Director DC Operations, recently signed a Letter of Intent with vocational education provider Fagskolen i Agder to collaborate on education and skills development. We have also agreed to establish a similar collaboration with the University of Agder (UiA).

Construction of Tonstad DataPark is expected to support more than 2,000 full-time equivalents through direct and indirect employment, with around 250 supported once the campus is operational. You can learn more about the job creation opportunities here. That creates a significant need for skilled people, and an opportunity to start building those skills and career pathways locally.

By partnering with these institutions, we hope to help more people across Sirdal and the wider Agder region develop the technical skills that are essential in today’s economy, opening up new career pathways and creating more opportunities for local people.

Thank you to Anne Siri Fagervoll, Marie Søraker-Sonesen and the team at Fagskolen i Agder for taking this step with us.
